Richard Branham Richard Branham is a professor of industrial design at the University of Kansas. He has been an international consultant for information and design for thirty years. He has been exploring design systems and theory both in the classroom and in the real world since the early 1960's. His degrees are in industrial design (M.S., Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology, and M.F.A., B.F.A. at Kansas) he built the Information and Design Planning Group, Chicago. In 1974, he returned to KU as Chairman of the Design Department and has since received numerous teaching awards. He also was selected to serve as in Intra-University Professor in the School of Architecture and Urban Planning. In 1980, he co-authored A Language of Form, and is currently compiling a textbook on human factors for designers, with an emphasis on human cognition. He has continued to consul independently in professional design, marketing and information design. |

George McCleary George McCleary is an associate professor of geography at the University of Kansas. His research interests include cartographic design and production, map use and behavioral systems, human factors, and geographic information systems. |

Linda Merillat Linda Merillat earned her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kansas in 1984. The focus of her career has been the design and development of leading edge relational database applications. She has worked on projects for the large corporations, small businesses, and goverment agencies across a broad spectrum of functional areas. She earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum & Development, Educational Technology in 2002. She is currently enrolled in a doctorate program at the University of Kansas. Linda led the Design team for this website and was the primary developer. |
